Descaling one’s kitchen appliances, such as coffee machines and kettles, is a routine those who own coffee machines should make a habit. With a regular descaling you can ensure that you always have a fully-functioning machine.

Your machine will usually show the following signs when it needs to be descaled: brewing happens with a lot more noise and takes longer than usual, and the coffee may not taste as good as it usually does.

With regular use of your machine we recommend that you descale it at least every 3 months, and ideally once a month.

De’Longhi descaling is presented in a bottle with liquid descaling product made of sustainable and bio-organic ingredients which you mix in with water in your water tank. The descaling product is is mixed with a 10-1 ratio, meaning 100ml of descaling product for 1L of water.

The machine then runs its descaling programmer (consult your machine’s user manual for more information).

Remember to thoroughly rinse out your machine after descaling.
